Maia Giordano

About

Maia Giordano is the Senior Research Officer at the Young and Resilient Research Centre at Western Sydney University, working on the Ethics & Engagement Stream of the Wellbeing Health and Youth Centre of Research Excellence.  

Maia’s work focuses on effective youth engagement and building connection and capacity in cross-sector collaboration to increase the impact of research, policy and service delivery. She has expertise in youth engagement, child rights and sector development. Over the last 13 years Maia has worked extensively in non-profit peak bodies and local government with expertise in child rights, young people’s engagement in decision making and collaborative partnerships between services, community and government stakeholders. Her work to date has focussed on building connection and possibilities between children and young people and the adults, policies, programs and services that impact their lives.
